Privacy Notice
FlipbookIQ · Effective 4 October 2026
FlipbookIQ turns a Word document or a PowerPoint deck into a
page-turning flipbook. This notice describes what Kixlogic, LLC receives, what it keeps,
and for how long.
1. Converting sends us nothing
The add-in does its work on your computer. Office renders the open document to PDF
locally, and the pages are turned into images locally. Your original Word or
PowerPoint file is never uploaded to us — not while converting, and not when
publishing. Converting requires no account and is not logged.
2. What we receive when you publish
Publishing is a deliberate, separate step. When you take it, we receive:
- the page images of your flipbook;
- the position of the text and links on those pages, which is what
makes a published flipbook selectable, searchable and readable by a screen reader;
- the title, the page count and the page shape;
- any settings you choose — a custom link name, a password, an expiry date, your own
logo and colours.
3. Your account
An account is an email address. There is no password: you sign in with
a six-digit code we email you. Those codes and the session tokens they produce are stored
only as irreversible hashes, never in a form we could read back or replay.
4. People who read your flipbooks
We count views per flipbook, per hour. That is the whole record. We do
not store a reader's IP address, browser, device or location, we set no analytics or
advertising cookies, and we cannot tell you who read a flipbook or follow anyone between
flipbooks or across other sites.
Three deliberate exceptions, all of which the flipbook's owner switches on:
- Password-protected flipbooks set one cookie after the password is
entered correctly. It holds a signed ticket, lasts twelve hours, is readable only by
the server, and exists solely so a reader is not asked again on every page.
- Lead capture, if you enable it, asks readers for an email address
and optionally a name. That information is collected for you: you decide to
ask for it, you download it, and you are responsible for what you then do with it and
for telling those readers what to expect. We do not use it for anything of our own.
- Ask this flipbook, if the owner turns it on, lets a reader type a
question that an AI answers from the text of that flipbook. The question, and the text
of the pages needed to answer it, are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for that one
answer. We do not store the question or the answer, and we do not
record who asked: we keep only counts, tied to a one-way hash of the source, so the
feature cannot be overused. It is off unless the owner switches it on, and it never
answers for a flipbook that is behind a password or an email request unless the reader
has already got in.
- Read to me, if the owner has recorded a voice for a page, plays that recording
to the reader. The recording is a file we host; we do not record or keep anything about who
listened. Hands-free, which the reader switches on themselves, lets them say
"next page" or "back". That listening is done by the reader's own browser and its speech
service (for example Google for Chrome, Microsoft for Edge, Apple for Safari), under that
company's terms. The audio never reaches our servers; we receive nothing from it.
It is off until the reader presses it, and the browser asks for the microphone first.
4A. The FlipbookIQ Library on kixlogic.com
Kixlogic, LLC publishes some flipbooks of its own in the FlipbookIQ Library on kixlogic.com.
That is our own website, and it works differently from the flipbooks customers publish.
The library asks a visitor for a name, an email address and, optionally, a company name,
or lets them skip. If they give their details, we email them to our team and store them in
this service's database, with the page the visitor was on, the time, and a one-way hash of
their IP address that is used only to limit how often one source can submit the form.
We use those details to reply and to follow up about FlipbookIQ and other Kixlogic
products. We do not sell them. A visitor can ask us at any time to delete them or to stop
contacting them. The library remembers that a visitor has answered or skipped the prompt
with one first-party item named kx_library_access, kept for up to a year (30
days if they skipped). It is used for nothing else, and it exists only on kixlogic.com,
never on flipbooks that customers publish. The Kixlogic
Privacy Policy describes this in full.
5. Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and are never sent to or
stored by us. We keep a Stripe customer reference and which plan is active.
6. Who else is involved
| Who | What they handle | Why |
| Cloudflare | Page images, flipbook records, sign-in emails |
Hosting, storage and delivery of the service |
| Stripe | Payment and subscription details | Taking payment |
| Pixabay | The words you type into the Studio's photo search |
Finding free photos. A photo you place is copied to our storage; readers never load it from Pixabay. |
| Anthropic | Only if you use the Studio Assistant: your message, and the title and
annotations of the flipbook it is working on |
Writing the Assistant's reply. Anthropic's commercial terms do not permit it to train
models on this content. Your document and page images are not sent. |
| Anthropic | Only if a flipbook's owner turns on Ask this flipbook: a reader's question
and the text of the pages needed to answer it |
Writing that one answer. Not stored by us. Anthropic's commercial terms do not permit it
to train models on this content. Page images are not sent. |
| OpenAI | Only if a flipbook's owner asks for an AI voice on a page: the text of that page, as the
owner has corrected it |
Turning that text into spoken audio, once. The recording is stored with the flipbook; readers
never contact OpenAI. Under OpenAI's API terms the text is not used to train its models. |
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising,
and we do not use your documents or flipbooks to train any model. We disclose information
otherwise only where the law requires it.
7. How long things are kept
- Flipbooks published on the free plan are deleted fourteen days after
publishing — the images and the records together, automatically.
- You can delete any flipbook at any time; that removes its images and its records.
- Account details are kept while the account exists. Ask at
support@kixlogic.com and we will delete the account and
everything published under it.
- Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Contact details given to the FlipbookIQ Library are kept for up to three years after
the last interaction, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
8. Security
Everything travels over TLS. Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored only as hashes.
A password-protected flipbook protects its page images as well as its page — a password
that guarded only the viewer would be decoration.
9. Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be
deleted, by writing to support@kixlogic.com. If you captured leads
through a flipbook, requests from those readers should come to you first; we will help you
answer them.
10. Children
The service is not directed at children and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
11. Changes
If this notice changes, the effective date above changes with it, and material changes
are emailed to account holders.
